Hello and welcome to abc model & talent! The following is a brief history of abc.
abc founder, Carol Lukens, first opened business in 1971 in Portland, Oregon. Throughout the years, Carol flourished in the entertainment industry:
- Teacher and coach with a degree in Theater Arts
- School owner - Edeline school of the arts and abc kids-n-teens performing arts center
- Agent - founder/owner of Media Talent and abc model/talent/sport management
- National casting director - founder/owner of A&M casting associates and Carol Lukens Casting
abc Seattle President, David Van Maren, joined the abc family in 1995. He began his career in the entertainment industry in 1985 as an actor (credits include numerous union and non-union feature films, MOWs, commercials, infomercials, industrials, videos ...). David's professional insight and experience both on and off the camera has contributed to the continued success of abc and its' models and talent.
Over the past 30 years, abc has grown and expanded to what is now nationally and internationally known as abc model & talent. abc has traditionally specialized in kids and teens, however, with the ever-growing changes within the industry, abc decided to add some new divisions in 1999. These divisions include; adults, music and sports as well as photographers, stylists, etc.
A few of the many models and talent abc has or still work with include: Agnes Bruckner who starred on "The Bold & The Beautiful", Richard Jackson previous star of "Saved by the Bell" and guest-starred on "Ally McBeal", Jonathan Jackson who starred on "General Hospital", "Camp Nowhere", "Deep End of the Ocean" and "Tuck Everlasting", Jamie Kern "Big Brother" CBS reality show, Beverly Peele international supermodel on the covers of "Mademoiselle", "Harper's Bazaar", "Vogue", "Elle", etc. abc clients can be seen in print ads for "Elle", "Vogue", "Cosmogirl", "YM", "Mademoiselle", "Detour", "Nordstrom", "The Bon Marche", "Neiman Marcus", etc. Commercials include "NBA", "Supersonics", "Mariners", "McDonalds", "Chevy Malibu", "Nike", etc. Films & TV include "Bandits", "Rose Red", "The Fugitive", "Free Willy", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III", "Mr. Holland's Opus", "Kindergarten Cop", "Saturday Night Live", "The Cosby Show", "Sister Sister", "MTV", "Oprah Winfrey" and much more.
