Frequently Asked Questions

  • How can I log in?

If you have not logged in before or have logged in but forgot your password, you can contact us and we will reset your password and give you your username. Once you have your username and password, you can click on "Log In/Out" on the navigation bar at the top of the website.

  • How can I log out?

Once signed in, the "Log In/Out" link on the navigation bar at the top of the website will sign you out. You are also automatically signed out when you close your browser window.

  • Why can't my profile be found by searches?

Your account's status must be set to active. Once you have updated all of your information and uploaded either a headshot, zedcard, or sound sample, you can contact abc through the link provided at the bottom of your main profile page and request that your account be activated.

  • I want to upload a headshot/zedcard, how should the image be formatted?

Only images saved as jpg or png can be uploaded. For best results, your image should have a resolution around 80 pixels per inch. The larger of it's dimensions should also be around 9 inches. This way, your headshot can be printed at a size appropriate for standard letter sized paper. Your file also needs to be under 750KB in file size. You should strive to keep your filesize as small as possible so that people viewing your picture don't have to wait for a long download. If you need help with uploading a picture, you can request that abc scan and upload your picture for you for a small fee.

  • I want to upload a sound sample, what kinds of files can I upload?

Sound Samples must be under 1MB in filesize. Only mp3 and wav formats can be used. If you need help uploading a sound sample, you can request that abc convert and/or compress your sound file and upload it for you for a small fee.

  • What is Apparent Age and how do I use it?

Many people don't look their age. They may look either older or younger than their physiological age. When a casting agent or client searches for a talent to fill the role of a character of a certain age, it is difficult to look at someone's birthday and determine if they look the part. The feature of Apparent Age Difference allows talents to be in the search results for the ages that they appear rather than their actual age.

Here is how it works; let's say a little girl is 9 years old. She appears to be only 6 to 8 years old. You would enter a -3 for Minimum ( 9-6=3) and -1 for Maximum (9-8=1) on the Personal Information page. When a client searches for a 7 year old talent, this child's profile will appear even though she is really 9 years old. Another example would be a young lady may be 18 but could pass for a 20 to 25 year old. She would enter the Apparent Age Difference of +2 Min and +7 Max. Or, how about the lady that is 40 and you can't really tell her age? She may enter -5 Min and +5 Max. This would allow her to be selected in any searches for a 35 to 45 year old.
